The APSE board convened on January 16-17, 2009 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to develop a strategic plan with the new Executive Director. What was exciting about this planning process was the fact that the APSE Board, Foundation Board, and Delegates all participated. We wanted to ensure that all of our leadership had an opportunity to participate in order to strengthen APSE.

The strategic plan was facilitated by Olivia Marshall, an outside facilitator from Milwaukee, WI who assisted the group in developing goals that will take us into the the next 2-3 years. On June 29, 2009, Olivia returned to facilitate the second meeting of our strategic planning process which served as a “checking in” process. The purpose of the session was to review the organizational goals and action plans that were developed in January, and to discuss progress to date and next steps.
