HR Connect is working with employers to assist businesses to successfully recruit and utilize employees from the disability community. HR Connect started working with TIAA-CREF, a large investment house that owns a variety of businesses across the world. The first pilot project called "Fruits of Employment" assisted this company with hiring individuals with disabilities at one of their orchards. The project was a real success, hiring 24 individuals. HR Connect has started another pilot program with Wal-Mart in Indiana with expansion planned for 2010. Three stores are targeted to participate in the initial program.
