TrainingIntroductionConference and Training Committee: The Conference and Training Committee is keenly focused to further APSE’s commitment to providing leadership, direction and resources to support membership training and development. Our current efforts are targeted to two of our committee’s main objectives:
APSE Employment Institute Highlights: The same high quality training found at state and national APSE conferences can be experienced in the comfort of your own office through our webinars. The following Archive webinars are always available for purchase including: Employment First, Assistive Technology, Adult Autism & Employment, Business Partnerships, Corporate Development, Workplace Supports and Transition Planning for Employees with Autism. Please contact Jenny Levet at Jenny@apse.org to purchase a webinar training session today. The 2012 APSE National Conference will be held on June 26 - 29, 2012 in Arlington, VA at the Crystal City Marriott Gateway. While there will be fewer break-out sessions – the sessions will be more focused on state of the art strategies to move our field forward. There will be multiple open forum discussion/ issue sessions focusing on critical issues facing us in the field and much more time for networking with others throughout the conference. As a member of APSE, you are automatically a member of the APSE chapter in your state. Chapters have training events throughout the year that focus on integrated employment and career advancement opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
